Mason still sometimes takes two naps - it just depends on how early he wakes up in the morning.
Jonah and Campbell have both been one nap babies since they were about a year old.
I will say that nn the weekends we have "quiet time" instead of nap time. Because Jonah is 4 and sometimes doesn't need a nap, but Campbell is 2 and she definitely needs a nap...lol. They have to stay on their beds for at least an hour and a half. We turn the lights down and they can read or do puzzles quietly. Campbell usually falls right asleep, but Jonah will usually read his books or play quietly. It's worked well for us.

My two are totally different on the nap front. My son, who I think did fall within those guidelines and moved to one nap someone between 18 months and 2 years old, was a faithful napper until after his 4th birthday. If he missed his nap (and this only happened twice), it was disastrous. Until my daughter came along, I never believed those people who say their children quit napping at a young age. But she was about 2 1/2 when she started phasing out naps entirely but kept napping intermittently until 3 or shortly after. However, by now, at 3 1/2, she very rarely naps, and on those occasions when she does, she's up until 11 at night and we're all miserable. I hope the next one is a longer napper!
My son definately falls into those guidlines so far. He has always needed two naps a day. Now, at 18 months, most of the time he just takes one around mid day. But if he wakes up really early we'll do two naps. He has always been a good sleeper, even as a little baby.
nattie sometimes takes two naps, it just depends on what time she wakes up. if she wakes up around 9, 930 she will nap from 12-2 and be good for the rest of the day, if she wakes up earlier than that, she will usually take a nap arond 1030/11ish sleep about an hour and a half and then take an hour nap around 3 or 4.
