Whose kids love her music? What do you think of her? Jack bops around a bit when she's on but I can't tell yet if he's really into her.

Anabelle went through a phase from about 2-3 where she really liked her. I liked her a lot too b/c her music isn't near as annoying as some that's out there!

These days, though, Anabelle is much more into grown up music, and poor Amelia is forced to listen to whatever her sister demands we turn on!!

My kids LOVED the wiggles at Jack's age. Now they LOVE kids bop (and Jimmy Buffett).

Am I the only one who doesn't know who Laurie Berkner is? Should I know? My kids have never really been into kids-only music, but that's probably because I've never introduced it to them and know nothing about it. Smiler

My LO loves Laurie Berkner, the Backyardigans, a CD called "Mother Goose Rocks" and Jack Johnson's "Curious George" soundtrack. We also just got Lisa Loeb's kids' CDE, and he seems to like that, as well.
But he also likes Chicago, Grease, the newest Jack Johnson, the "Oh Brother" soundtrack & all kinds of classical. So he's got well-rounded taste in music!

Once I had a pig on my head and I kept it there all day!! (one of her songs I like)

She is on Noggin alot, she sings songs in between some of the toddler shows, that is how I know her. She is very good!

We know her from Noggin too. But I don't have any CDs. Her latest, by the way, is called "Rocketship Run."

I was reading People and she gave these 5 tips for helping kids appreciate music:

1. It's all about expression! For example, when singing about dinosaurs, let kids stomp around.

2. Dance! Get up and dance with your kids.

3. Don't forget the lyrics. Actually sing the words with them.

4. Make up songs. It can be about whatever you're doing.

5. Mix up the music. The broader the spectrum of music they listen to, the more likely they are to love music.

I think she is great. My kids I use to nanny for had a few of her cds and they would sing and dance to her music. I agree with Moozle, she isn't nearly as annoying as some of the others. I think she is pretty happenin'. Thats right, I just called Laurie Berkner "happenin'" wow, I need a social life.
