How much TV is too much for children? Do you prohibit certain video games? Should computer time be limited? What's your child's favorite movie? Can Baby Einstein videos really be bad for your baby?

Everyone should own a Raffi DVD! We love Raffi and the Rise & Shine Band.
I don't believe the TV should be a babysitter, but everybody loves Raffi. |

Are video games really bad for children? Yes, no and maybe. What's a mom to do? Who knows? But staying informed and sharing makes me feel better.

I think some TV is okay in small amounts.
The worst thing is when television is kept on all the time, as 'background noise.' Studies have shown that it shortens children's creative play time and decreases the quality of that play (meaning the kids don't focus as much on their playing or create complicated stories when CNN is on all day). I just read "Into the Minds of Babes: How Screen time Affects Children." It's really interesting! |
