Have any of you been to the GA Aquarium in Atlanta? We're thinking about going in a few week's for my lo's 1st bday. I know he's too young to appreciate it (though I'm sure he'll be plently stimulated), but Atlanta's a great meet up point for our families. I figure he can smash his face in a cake just as well there as here!
It was pretty awesome when we went, but it was also reallyreally crowded. That was back when it opened, though, so it may not be as bad now. I'd say just pace yourself & plan to spend several hours. It's a pretty big place!

I have never been, but my family who lives outside Atlanta has, and they love it. If I remember correctly, they told me you have to make reservations to go now, so you may want to call ahead and check it out just to be sure.

The Ga Aquarium is amazing! Any age will love all the fish and the way they have laid it out, you get fish from all different angles. Not to mention the crabs bigger than me, and the sea lions, and the petting tank. Seriously fun for any age!! We are season pass members.
Ditto on everything GHM said...except we're not season pass members. We LOVED it. I highly recommend it for any age. I thought Ben might be a bit young to enjoy it (12 mos), but he was mesmerized! I kept returning to the Belugas (my fav), and Ben would get so docile just watching their slow movements. Then, he got all riled up at the coral exhibit with all the colors and the fish jetting by. He kept signing "fish" and saying "go," which was adorable.
It is definitely worth the cost of admission!!
Also, it is right across the street from the Olympic Park, so after the aquarium we hung out there for a while. Very cool.
