According to an article in The Tuscaloosa News today, the top 4 sport injuries in children younger than 15 are:
#1: Bicycle-related (240,000 children hurt) #2: Football-related (221,000 children hurt) #3: Skateboarding-related (65,000 children hurt) #4: Baseball-related (85,000 children hurt) This is data collected in 2006 from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission from 100 hospitals across the nation. The report emphasizes the importance of safety equipment such as helmets, wrist guards, elbow pads and other gear. ![]() |
