Someone just told me about the website www.toddlertoddler.com for activity ideas for toddlers. Check it out! There's some fun stuff on there! I don't know about you, but we could use some new activities over here. Under "Rainy Days" we did the "crushing crackers" activity today. We also did the "diaper mail box" idea. Jack loved it!
These are some great ideas! And most of them are with things you already have around the house! We are also going to try "diaper mail box" when Alec wakes up from his nap and maybe the "cooking eggs".
Did you try the mail box idea? Did he like it? We did another idea on Friday - tracing our hands. He thought that was fun and laughed a lot. I think it tickled him. We (translation, me!) then turned the cut out hands into paper pigs. I did a horrible job on the pigs. They look more like aardvarks. But, hey, we had a good time!
yes we did the mail box and he loves it. He just has a hard time putting it thru the slot. So I just turned the box over and he has just as much fun just putting the envelopes in the big open box! As long as he has fun!
I have a new activity. Fun inside moving boxes. LOL. I tipped one of those bad boys over yesterday and he was using it as a fort. And he likes bringing his toys in there. Maybe I can make some cut outs and turn it into a little house for him. In between unpacking. LOL.
Yea, cardboard boxes seem to be Alec's new favorite toy. He puts all of his little toys in it and then dumps them out again. It's really fun to watch him! I don't have any big boxes like you have for play houses but I am sure he would like that too!
