Jack's mommy |
So playing hide 'n seek with my 14 month-old has given him lots of pleasure. Usually I hide (around the other side of the couch or ottoman or bedroom door where I can still see him) and then he comes and gets me and I jump out and we laugh. This is all fine.
But the time has finally come where he wants to turn the tables and hide on ME. My now 5 year-old nephew used to do this and it freaked us all out. I remember once running frantically around the house with my sister-in-law calling his name and we were in tears. We finally found him ducking behind a bathroom door. Well, Jack started this today. This morning as I sat on the floor with him and turned to type an email he took off and hid on me. I jumped up, heart in my throat, and called for him. I ran around my small apartment wondering where he could be. And there he was, just a few feet away from me peering out from around a chair, waiting to be found. UGH. My heart was pounding for 10 minutes. So now he's going to start hiding on me. HELP! I don't think my nerves can take this more than once. ![]() ![]() |
