OK, who else is addicted to AI? LOL. We've watched every season.
I think the boys are way more talented than the girls this season. Last night I loved the performances by the rocker guy and the guy with the dreads (don't know names yet). I also love that 17 year-old kid Nicholas. He's really talented. I think a boy is going to win this year. That's my prediction! |

OK... I'll admit it. I'm addicted, too. I just started watching it last year. I had never seen an episode before 2 years ago when I saw a few episodes towards the end. Can you believe it? But, I have really gotten into it.
I think the guys are better, too. Based on last night's performances, I think Luke (the first guy who sang) & Chikeze (?) will go home. Looking forward to seeing the girls tonight. I like the "Carly Simon"-ish girl. Don't know her name. I really liked both the girls that went home last week. I would rather have seen the rocker girl with the weird hair go home. And about David Noriega... doesn't he look like Miley Cyrus? LOL I think all the Hannah Montana fans are keeping him in. I don't like to watch it live, though. It takes too much time. Thank goodness for DVR's. |

I watch too! I disagree with y'all, though. So far I think the girls are much better than the boys.
I didn't get to see everyone last night, but of the ones I saw no one overly impressed me. I'll be glad when they get past the decade genres and get to pick more modern songs. That's funny you think Danny Noriega looks like Miley Cyrus. I think he looks like a boy Jessica Alba! Like FunnyMummy, I like Brooke too (the one with the guitar, the Carly Simon-ish one). I am looking forward to seeing how the ladies do tonight! |

Danny... maybe a little Angelina Jolie, too! LOL But there's the age difference. Maybe she had a baby in her teens and it was kept under wraps!!!

btw, have y'all seen the stuff about David Hernandez (I think he sang a Celine Dion song last night)? Apparently he used to be a male stripper, and pictures of him in action are circulating around the internet.

I agree that Brooke was the best - loved her take on Pat Benatar. I also agree that the first girl needs to go, but I think the other one that should go is the one that sang the Phil Collins song (Riele?).

Brooke, to me, is by far the best girl. Carly (tattoo arm) has a nice voice, but there seems to be "something" missing. Maybe it's that her songs aren't as edgy as she looks. Would that be auditory sickness? What you see and hear don't mesh.
I definitely think it's time for Amanda to go (but last night was her best). I'm torn between Ramiele & the blond chick--Kady--taking the second spot (on the plane home). |

Boy, was I WRONG.
I never would have thought that Danny would go home so early... Not that I like him a whole lot. I thought the pre-teen girls would keep him in. Luke--no surprise. Kristi you called it with Asia'h (?). I thought she would hang around a while. Amanda is safe again. I know I'm on her case a lot. I don't dislike what she sings--or her style, but to me it sounds the same in whatever she sings. This is the same reason I never play an entire Tom Petty album. I absolutely LOVE Tom Petty, but after half the album, they all run together. A little bit goes a long way. Shuffle. I hope Carly picks a humdinger next week. I really want her to find a niche that fits her. Kady--expected. |

I was surprised by Danny too, but I suppose he's been more attitude than substance the past couple of weeks, and that didn't pay off for him. There was a lso a weird video of him circulating around the internet that I didn't see but read that it was disturbing teen angst type stuff.
Oh well...I think the top 12 is strong and it will be good from here! |

Best performances tonight (IMO):
David Cook Irish Carly Aussie Dude Brooke I liked Dredlock Guy--it wasn't so boring to me. Bottom three: Country Blonde Chick Ramielle David Hernandez--that was terrible (I think. I hit fast forward almost immediately.) |

I agree that David Hernandez's performance wasn't very good. I also didn't like Ramiele or Sayesha, and I think one of those two girls will be kicked off tonight.
I liked Chakeze's (sp.?) performance and Amanda's too this week. I thought the were much better overall than in recent weeks - the Beatles was a good theme! |

I LOVE AI. I don't know how I missed this thread - I've watched every season!!!
I have such a crush on hot aussie guy (Michael Johns). I don't think last night was his BEST, but I don't care. LOL. He's still great. I really like Jason Cook - dreds guy. He is so sweet and vulnerable when he sings, and has an awesome voice. I thought Chikeze REALLY improved last night too. David Hernandez was horrible. I normally think he has a great voice (even though I can't stand to look at him), but last night was awful. I am a Carly fan, but agree there is something "off" about her look. I don't think David Archuletta is quite as great as all the hype, but I did feel really bad for him last night when he forgot his words. Brooke. I don't know. I do really like her, but I totally disagreed with the judges last night. I didn't understand why they told Rameille she was boring, and then didn't say the same to Brooke - I thought they had similar performances. Country girl and skunk hair girl can GO HOME ALREADY. |

And I did notice last night that David Hernandez mentioned repeatedly in his bio piece about working as a server in a restaurant, but didn't mention his other means of income...
