I LOVED Cook's performance last night. So cool. And David A was great. Of the girls...I'd say Syesha was the best. I think Carly is gone tonight. That's my prediction! Kristy seems to have a lot of fans. And, ya know, I must admit, she's gotten better and better.

Hey - I should have hopped online! I was up around then b/c my oldest drank too much water before bed and needed a potty break - and of course wouldn't just go by herself.

Ok, David Cook was AWESOME. I LOVED that version. WOW. He is going to have an amazing career, regardless of Idol. I almost hope he's like Daughtry and doesn't win - winning locks you into such a rigid contract with this show. I want him to come in second, though, so he's at least around til the end.

I thought David A did really well too.

I think Jason was just ok. I'm a big fan of HIM but not that performance.

They can just get rid of all of the girls at this point. None of them compare.

Carly has gotten worse each week I fear. Same with Brooke.

And Kristy ... ugh. I hate to admit it but she is getting better. BUT, paula for once got it right by saying it was part of her plan. I think she started out crappy on purpose! I also think she started out sooo bad, that even singing just OK sounds great for her. And I still think she's just ok.

I thought Syesha did pretty good, but the judges just do not like her for some reason. I always think she sounds pretty good. I'd call her the best of the girls.

I'm interesetd to see what happens tonight! I think Brooke or Carly are going home. We'll be cursed with Kristy a few more weeks I think.

I knew Carly was not doing as well, same for Brooke, but I had no idea in two weeks they went from great to terrible! I am shocked. I though Carly was the best girl, followed closely by Syesha. I have got to watch the last two weeks of shows I have missed.

I was a little nervous about the Mariah Carey themed night - I mean after all not everyone has the talent to reach those ear splitting shrieks that she is so popular for - but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
David Cook was amazing! He has stumbled before - but I think he knows what his strengths are. He is by far my pick!
David A is just too sugary sweet for me. I would expect to see him on some show on Disney - not on American Idol.
Kristy has gotten better every week and I think she has the underdog thing going for her - but I don't know how long that will last.
Carly is really talented - but I don't know if she really knows what her niche is yet. I think she has done great though.
Jason - I don't even know where to start with him. He always looks as though he has just finished smoking a little herbal remedy if you know what I mean. And I don't think the dreads help with that either. Last week was his best week - but the whisper voice and soft speaking have to go.
And Brooke - I just don't know what to make of her. She reminds me too much of Carly Simon and I don't know if she would have the mass appeal that some of the others would have.

I don't know though. You never know how the voting is going to go. Look at all the different opinions we have on here!

I missed Jason, Brooke and Kristy but saw the rest. I thought David C. was awesome and was the best by far. David A. was his usual great-voiced self, but he's been so good for so long that I want to see something more from him to be impressed, and I didn't see that last night.
I like Carly more than the judges do, apparently and think she did very well last night. Syesha is good, but she's missing something in her personality - there's nothing to ingratiate her and make me want to pull for her.
I don't have a prediction, since I missed almost half the performances last night. But I do think that Brooke and Carly are both in danger at this point.

As much as I like "Nanny girl" - the piano and guitar playing scene is getting a bit old. Don't get me wrong - 2 of my grand fav artists are Billy Joel and Elton John, but she's not that calibre yet. I think she is the man out tonight.

On the other hand, David Cook was named clever indeed - he can take and song and mix up the ingredients and really cook it into a masterpiece!!

Ah, so she finally goes!

I know you guys know that I liked Kristy, but I really felt she did a much better job than Brooke on Tuesday, and didn't deserve to go home this week. There are a few other weeks she didn't do as well, but stuck around. It makes no sense to me. Oh well.

Before they switched DC and Syesha, I was in shock to see which group would be in the bottom. Guess they fooled me! LOL!

I think if Brooke and Jason don't step it up, they will be the next to go.

As y'all know, I'm perfectly fine with seeing Kristy go. I did feel a tad sorry for her last night, and I didn't see her performance Tuesday so I don't know if she was the one who deserved it or not this week. But she's definitely been hanging around on borrowed time, so I'm not feeling too badly for her.

It's ironic that she went home after 2 weeks of her best performances. Maybe she lost some of the "vote for the worst" votes.

Jason C--he's got a cult following

Although I don't think Jason should be in the top 3, there is a very good chance he will be. I don't think he is nearly as talented as Carly. Carly just hasn't been picking the right songs the past couple of weeks. If she starts doing better, I look for her to be in the top 3.

I agree completly with you FM about DC and DA. Unless they screw up badly, they will be in the final 3.

Here's a what if. If Carly and Jason both continue to go down, and Syesha keeps doing better, she may just end up in the top 3. I wouldn't mind that either. She is very talented.

I think we all seem to agree that DC is most likely to win at this point (or he is at least our fav to win). He is positively the most talented musician of the group, which gives him a major advantage.

I've only seen a few AI performances--though this message board makes me want to become a follower. Anyway, every time I've turned it on, the pretty long hair blond girl (Brooke, I think) has been crying. What's up with that?

She seems to have cried during or after each performance since they decided the top 12. I can't remember her crying that much before then. She is very emotional.

Who doesn't love him? Not exactly what I would consider fodder for an 'American Idol', but still, I was excited about tonight's show. All I can say is: Whoo-Hoo SAYESHA!!!!!! I think this was her BEST performance yet. Look out Broadway!

Also, CARLY did a fantastic job. And the David duo... same as usual. I thought DC was better than Simon let on.

I liked Syesha and Carly so much that I actually VOTED for them. First time ever!!! They have been in the bottom 3 so much that I felt that I should do my little bit to try and keep them in after these performances.

This might be the end of the road for Brooke. I really like her, but she has not had a WOW performance in a few weeks.

That leaves Jason Castro... It's up to his cult following to keep him in.

Now, an embarrassing tidbit. One lovely spring day, I had the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack playing and was singing along at the top of my voice (I CANNOT CARRY A TUNE). I enjoyed myself so much that I replayed it 3-4 times. Only after that, did I realize that on that lovely spring day, I had all the doors open! OMG. I'm glad I don't live in that neighborhood anymore!

I thought Syesha was the best last night. That is definitely her element. Her best night by far.
The Davids were good as usual, though I agreed with Simon that Archuletta didn't exactly blow me away.
I knew Castro would have trouble with this theme. I still like him and I think he's got enough fans to go on.
I think Brooke is gone. Too bad. She's so sweet. But she's really struggling.
