Glad she's gone. It's so cruel the way they make them sweat it out for like a half hour through Dolly Parton songs and heart-wrenching video from Africa. Those poor girls were just clung together, on the verge of tears and frozen throughout the whole show. Anyway, next up is Kristy. LOL. Did you read that David Cook's brother has brain cancer? That's so awful. I think the guys are way stronger than the girls this season and a guy is going to win. And, I have to admit, we watched Hell's Kitchen the other night too! We watched it last season and got sucked in. Chef Ramsey cracks me up.

Just about the only thing I have to say about last nights show (since it's outcome was no real shocker) is: WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT THING THAT DOLLY WAS WEARING? A tribute to Elvis, maybe? I thought she looked great the night before. Some surgeries completely expected with her. I like Dolly. She's a great songwriter... but that song she sang last night...

I can't believe I got to watch the show at a decent hour!
When I heard it was inspirational week, I thought of beauty contest talent show. But, I thought it was a pretty good show. The not-as-strong contestants rose to the challenge. I think they had the better performances--including Kristi Lee Cook! Sorry Kristi P., I think she'll be around another week. She did do a great job, tonight. It will be hard for her to overcome her first 2-3 performances.
What was up with Randy? Must have had a bad day!
I checked dialidol.com. Here's the order:
David A Jason C KLC Brooke Michael Jophns David Cook Carly Syesha
I can' believe that Syesha is in last place. I liked her song. I've never heard the Fantasia version, though.

LOL S'ok. I agree Kristy is getting better. I think the bottom 3 is going to be Syesha, Brooke and Carly. David Cook disappointed us last night. Strange song. Weird performance. I thought Jason C. was the best. And I like Michael Johns more and more each week.

I was actually proud of Kristy last night too. I still think it's time for her to go home ... but I think she has made some great progress. I have no idea why everyone voting dislikes Syesha! I mean, I don't think she'll win - she's not as good as the guys. But I think she's better than Kristy or Brooke. I thought Jason did AWESOME. Then again, we did Amelia's 1 year video montage to that song, so I couldn't help but love it. Love Michael Johns. I agree about David - he's a favorite of mine, but I thought he definitely had an off week. I am going to admit this sheepishly ... but is anyone else not excited about tonight? I know Idol Gives Back is for a good cause and all, but it always seems SO overdone and drawn out. And honestly, I'm not looking to sit on my couch and cry my eyes out after a long day at work ..... I know that's really terrible. Jennifer Mom to Anabelle: 3/20/04 Mom to Amelia: 12/20/06 Bitsy the greyhound ... our first baby, and forever in our hearts

Moozle - don't feel bad. I don't plan to watch tonight. The elimination will be tomorrow night, and I feel like I have enough t.v. in my weekly schedule as it is. I will reluctantly agree with y'all that Kristy Lee did better last night, but I'm still ready for her to go. I missed Michael Johns. I thought David Archuleta was the best, and I didn't feel the Jason Castro performance as much as everyone else apparently did. I mean, it was fine, but I didn't think it was the greatest thing ever. Brooke didn't impress, and I agreed with the judges that Carly's performance ccame across as angry and weird. David Cook was good but he has set the bar so high for himself that performances like he had last night disappoint.

I watched the last hour. It was OK. So tonight is the voting off. But I can't miss The Office. LOL

I saw Teri Hatcher's performance of "Before He Cheats" on Perez Hilton this morning and couldn't even finish watching it. Was she kidding? it was pretty awful.

I was surprised that Michael Johns was voted off this week. Were y'all? I think I've said it before, though, I think he is a very good performer and has sa great stage presence, but I don't think his voice is in the same league with most of the others remaining. Even so, it was surprising.

I'm shocked that he was eliminated. Shocked. He was better than at least three other contestants left standing. More upsetting to me, though, is how rude Ryan was during the announcement of it. I'm a huge Ryan fan, but I think his behavior was uncalled for (Making him think this was a non elimination, etc). I don't care if it's written on the teleprompter or not - if you have some decency, you'd just skip that line ("last year we didn't send anyone home the week of Idol gives back ..."), and tell him he was leaving. I didn't watch. But I'm totally bummed that he's gone. He was starting to become a favorite of mine. He is not the worst one at this point. The first shocker this season for sure.

Moozle, I agree about the whole "last year we didn't eliminate anyone" thing, but I hoped that the contestants knew ahead of time that someone would for sure be eliminated.

Kristy, Kristy, Kristy, (Lee Cook, that is)! Can you believe it? She's done it again. What if she winds up winning the whole thing? HA HA
Seriously, I was really happy for her. She was the best of the girls, to me. Of the guys, I liked David C. and Jason C. I didn't like DC at first. I rewound it and listened again to put my finger on just what it was that I didn't like; and that time, I thought it was great. Weird.
My predictions for bottom three: Brooke, Carly and Syesha. I love Syesha, but I just don't think she has the fan base to keep her in the contest.
PS: Yeah, it's 2:32 AM!!!! I woke up and cannot go back to sleep. Looking forward to a great day tomorrow!
