I think Carly, David Archuletto, Aussie Guy, David Cook, and Brooke are the best so far. Although I really liked Chikizee? on Tuesday, and I didn't like any of his other performances. He seems to be starting to find a good nitch.

I disagree about country girl though. She can sing, she just is picking the wrong songs. I think she will do better when they have more modern or country songs. But I do think she deserved to be in the bottom three after ripping apart one of my favorite Beatles songs.

How many of you watch, but don't vote? I have never voted, and usually I only watch the try-outs, but this year is sooo good, that I can't help but watch.

I do like rock girl, I just am tired of hearing the same things over and over. She is so specific to one type of song, and it is getting old already and she is not that good either.

I usually watch after kids' betime. I've never been enough interested to vote, but couldn't even if I were. I don't think I could watch it live, anyway. It takes too long. This is only my second season to watch.

I didn't seen the show from last night. The TV was on while I was giving LO a bath. I could watch it today, but it's sorta pointless. I am a bit confused b/c I thought I could hear Eleanor Rigsby... but David Cook wasn't in the bottom three. Is there a new format?

I didn't watch last night either - getting the kids to bed. I'm not surprised that David Hernandez is onge, though - his performance was pretty bad.
I have to admit that I have voted from time to time, usually at the direction and prompting of the kids - they like to vote.

I voted a few times the first season. By text. And then I'd get these annoying text advertisements on my phone.
But I haven't voted since then.
Wahhhh! I have to watch in real time now b/c since we moved we don't have DVR. I'm bugging DH to buy me a Tivo.

We have Directv, and if you don't already have it, they will give you a DVR for getting service with them. When I moved in October I didn't have one, and because I continued my service with them, they gave me one. I think it is the best thing technology wise that has come out in a long time.

OK, so I need a recap from last night. I watched less than half the show before I had to get the kids to bed and missed the rest (grr- yet again I need a DVR!).
I saw Kristi Lee Cook (awful, I thought), David whats-his-name the Autralian (not very good), David Archuleta (great, maybe the best yet for him), Amanda (all right but I agree with the jduges - too much of the ame old same old). I turned it off right before Bridgette, so I missed the rest.

You mean right before Brooke? She was ok...not a good response from any of the judges.

Actually, last night's show was just SO-SO overall. I think Beatles night was a mistake. Nobody sings them the way they did.

Also, did anyone else think that most of the contestants (especially the stronger ones) seemed a bit too arrogant?

Chikezie got bad reviews for his performance of "I've Just Seen a Face". But, I thought it was good--maybe a bit comical. I liked all of it except the harmonica playing. He gave it a bluegrass/country kind of sound.
But, if you've listened to the Beatles' music a lot, you will notice that many of their songs are just a banjo away from country, anyway.

I'm SURE I'm in the minority, but Archuleta is getting boring to me. He has a FANTASTIC voice, but the "I'm so cute" thing is getting tiresome. I feel that it is genuine, but it just doesn't appeal to me. Maybe to 12-yr-olds (which is a GOOD thing). I don't want him to go home, but I'm just not as into him as I used to be.

I know what you mean about Archuleta, although I do think he is the best singer of all of them. I'm gtting tired of Amanda and Christy Lee Cook (I realize I spelled her first name two different ways today - don't know how it's spelled). I hope one of them goes.

I agree with Funny Mummy about the best performances last night. I also think it was a mistake to do Beatles after the did the songbook last week which included Beatles songs. It wasn't a very good night for anyone. They all had some issues.

The one person I really don't like that much for some reason is Jason (don't know his last name). The judges told him he was charming, but I don't get it. He is cute and has a decent voice, but he doesn't seem genuine to me. Dunno why.

I like Christy, she just keeps picking the wrong songs. I am tired of Amanda too. Good voice, just tired of the same old, same old.

The stronger contestants seemed extremely arrogant last night. They acted like they thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. Take David Cook. He looked shocked to hear Simon say his performance wasn't as good as David thought it was. And the aussie guy too. Arrogant, but no real reason he should be.

My fav fav was Syesha. I am a little biased(spelling?) though b/c I love Yesterday. Probably my favorite Beatles song. And she didn't butcher it, but changed it enough to make it her own. Gotta love it.

Brooke is cute, if not corny sometimes. She wore a yellow dress and had yellow lights while singing Ain't No Sunshine. Even though it was kind of corny, that sort of thing fits her personality. When I saw her at the beginning of the show I was afraid she would sing Yellow Submarine (not sure if that is really a Beatles song though?), and laughed

The 17 year-old kid is a doll -- and talented. We like David Cook over here. We liked Bo Bice and Daughtry too. We're suckers for the rockers!
Oh, and I didn't think Aussie guy was that bad. I kinda liked his performance.
And what about Carly? I think she and little David are the best. And the rocker. LOL

ok... I'm missing the elimination show, again. I saw Carly Smithson get in bottom three. That was a blindsided blow.

I was fine with last night's decision. Amanda was wearing on my nerves. And she seemed so unhappy to be there anyway.
Carly did NOT deserve to be there!
