I am an awards show junkie.
If an awards show is on, I will watch (or tivo). It doesn't matter what it is. Whether it's music awards, movie, TV awards or awards for who in Hollywood annoys America most, I will tune in.
There's just something about it. I love to see the stars on stage. I love the cheesy banter between presenters. I love to evaluate what stars are wearing. I love the awkwardness of the pre-show red carpet interviews. I love the live performances. I love scanning the crowd for my favorite stars.
With that, I was excited to hear the nominees for the Golden Globes this morning. It is officially award season! Yay!

Big Love, Entourage (Jeremy Piven and Kevin Dillon), Dexter (Michael C. Hall), The Office, 30 Rock

Sadly, I haven't seen any of the movies this year because year 1 of parenting and movie theaters just don't mix.
One year my husband and I were on a mission to see all the movies up for movie of the year by the time the Oscars aired. We tried so hard and saw all of them but one. LOL. Some day we'll do that again.

I totally understand the movie theatre/baby relationship...or lack thereof!! My husband and I are acutally going to dinner and a movie Sunday while his parents are in town. We're going to check out Atonement, so I'll let you know what we think!

Well...Atonement wasn't showing here, neither was Juno, which were the two I was interested in seeing. SO...we decided to go to a nice dinner instead....until we realized there are NO restaraunts open here on Sunday nights! We went to 4 places that were closed. What's up with that? Guess it's because of no alcohol on Sundays??

We ended up getting pizza at Mellow Mushroom then going across the street to Capture for some hot cocoa and dessert. It was great to realize how much I still like hanging out with my husband!...which overshadowed the disappointment of not seeing a movie.
