If it's a rainy Sunday (like today) and you are lazily flicking through the channels (bear with me here, let's assume your LO is napping or visiting relatives, lol), what movies will always make you put the remote down? That is, you'll watch them every time because you never get sick of them?

For me, it's

Dirty Dancing
When Harry Met Sally
Top Gun
The Devil Wears Prada
The Holiday
Sixteen Candles
Breakfast Club
Fever Pitch

Ummmm, I'm sure I could think of more if I really tried. LOL.

Okay, I REALLY like "Legally Blonde" and I LOOOOVVE "Oh Brother." And I don't usually change the channel when I stumble on them while channel surfing, so I guess I should add them to my list!

The usual Molly Ringwald/Original-Brat-Pack suggestions are all true for me as well. But the two most important ones:

Fever Pitch and My Cousin Vinny

both of them have been on a TON lately, and I can watch them back-to-back-to-back-to-back ... the other day I was late to an appointment because I had to watch the Red Sox beat the Yankees in 2004, just one more time...! I was living up there for that series, and the air was just electric. We were all going to bed at 2am, waking up at 5 ... and it didn't matter!

Another one I will never turn off is Goodfellas.

Oh! And of course The Princess Bride!

I was living in Boston during that time too. And Fever Pitch was filmed in my old neighborhood, the North End. Jimmy Fallon lives near the bakery I always went to. I watched this movie when I was living in FL and pregnant and hormonal and we had just left Boston and I cried my eyes out I missed Boston so much!
Now I don't cry but I love love love the movie and seeing my old stomping grounds. Smiler

Where did you live in Boston? Maybe our paths crossed...

The Princess Bride! I can't believe I forgot it! Not until I read your choices Boston Girl did I think of it.

Oh - and another I thought of - The Blues Brothers.

Kristi,

In 2004 I was actually living in Southern NH, but prior to that I was a Back Bay girl. Which doesn't mean our paths didn't cross, though ... Boston is only so big! hah hah

(And hey -- if I'm in the right mood, I *still* cry when I watch Fever Pitch, so don't feel bad!! Of course, I am such a sap I used to cry when I was ling in Georgia and we'd watch Ally McBeal and it would be November and 70 degrees out, and I would see the "snow" and have the miserables for at least two days!)
