I sure got caught in a huge storm picking up carpool. It wasn't even raining at 2:45 and by 2:50, it was raining like crazy and the wind was very strong. It was bad sitting in the carpool line and getting the kids out to the car, but I really felt bad for the elderly crossing guard out in the middle of the intersection trying to stand up against the wind!
Well, yesterday I saw the first post on this. I have email notifications on so I didn't have the topic open to see the subsequent posts and this one just happened to be the first email I opened. I scooted out the door b/c it was a few minutes before two. I got to the school and the kid's weren't out! HEE HEE HEE My daughter was very happy to be checked out early. (There were several more checking out as well) And, it turned out to be a fortunate mishap. We were home when the down pour began!!
Oh that poor crossing guard. Yeah, it got nasty here for a while. FunnyMummy, I'm so sorry if I misdirected you. I had the news on and they were saying Tuscaloosa schools were being released at 2 at one point (across the bottom of the screen). Then they deleted it. So I jumped back on here to revise my info.
