Here is the definition of a PTA, according to the Tuscaloosa City Schools.
Interested in joining? Just call your child's school for more info. The Parent-Teacher Association is an important avenue of involvement for parents, and all parents are encouraged to become active members. Each school has its own PTA which works for the support and improvement of education. The PTA sponsors monthly programs and raises funds for school improvement. Each PTA is represented at meetings of the City Council of PTAs, a group organized to provide leadership training and coordination of the efforts of local PTAs. ![]() |
