We are in the process of selling our house and looking to buy a new one. Since we have little ones, schools districts will pretty much determine where we go. We're looking at Verner or Vestavia and perhaps Rock Quarry. Does anyone have any advice on these?

Also, I know Tusc. County/City doesn't have any decent middle schools but which do you think are the best of the lot? I'd love for my kids to go to the Capital School but I'd also like to be able to afford to feed them!

All three are really good schools. Out of the three, I would try to do Rock Quarry. I know that Rock Quarry will run all the way up to eighth grade soon. I think that the new building will be ready by this fall. I know several teachers there and they are all wonderful. If you end up there let me know and I will tell you some names of the teachers I know. My second choice would be Vestavia. I do not know much about Verner. I also know that Verner and Rock Quarry feed into Northridge High, which is a really good school. Hope this helps!

I have been told that the Hillcrest district is a sought after school district as well. Good luck house hunting. How exciting!
