Forgive me, please, but I have to brag on my 15yo again. His team did not win the State Tournament at the Scholar Bowl, but I think they might have gotten 3rd place. I can't remember. Thanks for the wishes! At this time, he is the only one on the team that is not a senior. I hope he can wrangle up some teammates for next year. Otherwise, he might BE the team.
Today, he says; "Oh, Mom, did I tell you about the National Latin Exam?" (of course not) He then goes on to tell me that his school had received a letter stating that he had scored a perfect score!!! It is the first time anyone at his school has done this, although there have been many times that students had only missed one question. He said that over 130,000 students, nationally, took the test and only about 1000 scored 100%. He scored 100% when he was in Intro to Latin, but that didn't count. After intro, I think all levels are combined for the exam. Last year, he missed one.
I am very proud of him... this was a great Mother's Day gift!
Congrats!! I had a friend who took latin in high school. I looked at it one day, and I have to say, anyone that can understand that much less score 100% on a test is one smart cookie! You should be proud!
