I was just looking at the calendar and saw that the CHOM has a baby play date on Wednesdays for babies 0 to 12 months. Have any of you ever been to this? Did you and your LO enjoy it? I feel like I need to start taking Will to something where he can be around other babies and kids. He's not in day care, since I stay home with him, and we don't really have many friends around here with kids.

We've gone. It was OK. Nothing great. But maybe it's changed since then. I went last summer. I'd check it out! What can you lose?

The library programs are great though! I highly recommend those! We go Wednesday mornings to the 0-23 month class at 10 a.m. at the main branch. There's lots of moms and babies who go.

BTW, SarahMay, I feel the same exact way. I am home with Jack and like to get him around other kids too. And I'm new to the area so almost all of our friends with kids live in other states.
So if you ever want to get together, that would be fun! I know Jack is a little older, but I think they'd still enjoy each other. Smiler

Sorry, Kristi...I didn't read your post till now.

I was going to take Will to the CHOM baby play date the week before last. But decided not to when I got there and realized we would have to pay $7 museum admission. I wasn't really interested in seeing the whole museum, just wanted to go to the play date. I guess I'm cheap, but I'm looking for something we can do on a weekly basis and $7 a week would add up to around $30 a month...

So, last Wednesday I went to the thing at the library. I really liked it and Will did too. I don't think he really cared anything about the stories or songs, but he liked staring at all the other babies. Actually, we had gone once before. I think Will was about 4 months at the time. He seemed pretty oblivious to everything so I didn't really see the point at the time then I just kind of forgot about it. The first time I went is when I found out about this website. You gave me a business card with the site on it.

Do you still go to the story time? If you do, I'll see you there tomorrow.

Yes, we still go and love it. But we won't be there tomorrow because I have to pick my mom up at the airport at 10.

So we've already met! Cool! I look forward to seeing you guys at story time soon. It's a nice group of moms in that 10 o'clock class...

We love story time, too. We will miss tomorrow, too. My mom is also in town.

I thought the baby play date was just ok. But, we really like the Movin' and Groovin' class, and playing downstairs in the "pond."
