I can remember seeing all of the preemies in the NICU with Ronald and feeling so sad for the little babies. It is so heartbreaking to see such tiny little babies fighting for life.

My best friend had a 1 pound baby boy and he is a bull of a boy now at age 6. When I went to the NICU to see them both I remember standing in the room of incubators and looking at microscopic perfectly formed humans and being in awe. Even though they were tiny and struggling, they were here!! What a miracle!

One of my friends had to have an emergency c-section at 28 weeks. Her baby weighed only 1 pound 13 ounces and had to spend the first 3 months in the hospital. He had several close calls, but he's 16 months old now and doing great. It's so amazing that babies born so early can survive. It is a miracle!!!
