Jack's mommy |
If you want to cut your 1 year-old's hair yourself, here are some tips, courtesy of Parents Magazine.
1. Enlist help. It's much easier if your LO is sitting in someone's lap. 2. Use your fingers. Don't make any cuts without first putting your hand between the hair and your toddler's scalp. This will keep you from cutting your LO if she moves suddenly. 3. Keep it quick. Timing is everything. The longer you pause and ponder your next move, the more impatient your toddler will get. 4. Get good tools. Be sure your clippers or scissors are sharp. Dull tools tug and pull at the hair, making even well-behaved kids upset. 5. Put in a video. A good show will hold your toddler's attention while you swoop in and do a quick trim. ![]() |
