I mostly use Kushie's, both the classic (with cover) and the AIO's. But I haven't bought any diapers for almost 4 years now, so I'm sure there are many that I don't even know about. I used Kushie's with 2 babies, though, and will be using some of them for the third time, and they're still holding up.
SarahMay, for overnight I have some doublers that are mesh on one side and seem to wick the wetness away (terry on the other side) and work great at night, but I bought them with my first (almost 8 years ago) and can't remember who made them! |

we have several fuzzi bunz(my fave), berry plush(my other fave, just expensive), swaddle bees, and one mommy's touch(don't reccommend).
She is finally getting to big for her smalls, so I am about to make a mundo purchase of diapers. I am getting fuzzi bunz-seconds, a couple of bum genius for overnight. We've always used pocket diapers or aio's. I want to go to either prefolds or fitteds while we are at home, so I've been doing alot of reading up on those. I want to do those to be cost effective, but the fitteds look to be about the same as the pocket diapers, if I buy seconds. Niki, wife to Thatcher, mommy to Jacob(5), Alex(3), and Alyssa(11mts) |

I currently have in our stash:
Goodmamas, Tinkle Traps, an Enchanted Nursery Mosiac Moon, Blackbird Lane fitteds, Apple Bottom Baby fitted, bumGenius, FuzziBunz, Mommy's Touch, Snap-EZ, HuggaBunz, Green Acre Designs pockets, SunSeedlings, Drybee's Lacie Pockets, JamTots Berry Plush AIOs and a couple miscellaneous fitteds. Ohh and some Bummis Super Whisper Wrap covers and a Babyology soaker and longies. Which I never use because we go coverless. I have used and sold: Swaddlebees, Blueberry Minky OS Pocket, Haute Pockets, Pocket Change (actually still for sale!), ATD AIO's, ATD fitteds, Bumkins AIOs, Drybee's regular pockets,....um, I think that's all. lol oh and Happy Heineys, and a Heiny Hugger fitted, and Wallypop fitteds Man... I get confused. I started out mostly a pocket girl. But I've moved to fitteds now that my baby is 14 months old, walking and not just sitting in a puddle. I usually just change her when she's damp. She holds her urine a lot longer now, and has even gone in the potty a time or two! This makes it easier. I like fitteds for the breathability. Today, we went to the pediatrician (and you all know how long that takes!), to TCBY (for my 4 year old who got shots!) and the post office. She was wearing a fitted and was still dry when we got home. Yay! I have three pockets that I use at night, because they are large enough to stuff a microfiber insert AND a BabyKicks Hemparoo prefold in, which are the most absorbant things I've met. I have about 10 of them, and stuff my pockets with them instead of the inserts that come with them. We never, ever have leaks anymore that I'm using them. Niki.... SO sad that I didn't know you guys were here until now! I just sold my entire stash of MEDIUMS because we are moving to a large!!! However, if you guys ever want to try something without having to buy it, let me know! I'll be glad to lend you something for a few days to see if you like it! |

Are any of the other cloth diaper newbies still using them? And are any of the new members of TuscMoms cloth diaper users? I'm finally going to have enough to cloth diaper full-time! I started with a 5 pack of Kushies to try it out. Then I ordered 2 Hugga Buns on clearance online. I ordered 2 more 5 packs of of Kushies a few weeks ago from Wal-mart and they have finally come in! They got delayed in shipping. I can't wait to go pick them up! Yeah, I'm such a nerd...getting excited about something my LO is going to poop in...lol! Anyway, with 17 diapers I shouldn't have to use disposables much anymore! Oh, yeah, I technically have 18 if you count the YuckyDuck diaper I bought on eBay. But, it will be used for emergencies only, if I even keep it. It's a piece of junk. I wish I would have found the reviews on diaperswappers.com before I purchased.

Ummmm yeah... I am just as much of a nerd....
I stalked goodmama all day yesterday just to get four new diapers!!!! Here's some pics of ours.... Yesterday's.... Out of the Dryer...(OOTD) and ready to go....(RTG) My goodmama prints... and goodmama OBV's (I embroidered them!) One on her bum yesterday.... Brushing her teeth.. getting ready for her pageant the other day! My goodmama/Sweetiebums collaboration.... Her Bon Jardin goodmama and matching dress... A fitted a friend made for me.... Playin' outside... A JamTots Berry Plush AIO... A Blackbird Lane fitted... So yeah... as you can see, I'm SO into cloth diapering. I haven't bought a pack of sposies in forever.. because I feel like I'm wasting my CUTE fluff money! I haven't saved any money yet.. but when I go to sell what we've got, I'm sure I'll reap a pretty good bit back. I cloth diaper full time and LOVE it. |

and.... just as a side note.... if you get involved in a cloth diapering community, such as Diaperswappers, DiaperPin, etc... you will be able to sell your "expensive" cloth diapers. It's an investment just like anything else. I have bought $20 diapers, used them for a year, and sold them for $15. That's a five buck diaper, folks. I bought two goodmamas for $35/each, and sold one for $67 and one for $75, just because they were boy prints we didn't need!

For some mamas... diapers are a hobby, and buying them is "collecting" them... kinda like buying all the pieces in a Gymboree collection for some people? Some lady once bought a pair of Ramsi Kate's Gymboree shoes (which I bought on clearance for $10, for $30!!! because she had been hunting them to "complete" her daughter's collection of that pattern. Umm ok... silly to me, but fun for the mama, I guess! |

That's an Alexander Henry fabric print called Apples and Pears. $8/yard and hard to find! I've got a dress that matches. Oh.. and I paid $22 for the diaper. I've even gotten savvy on my fabric makers and fabric names through all this cloth diapering experience..... lol |
