For a while now my son's 6 to 9 month clothes have been barely fitting. We have a lot of 12 month clothes for him- mostly hand-me downs and stuff my MIL got on clearance at the end of last summer. Problem is that this stuff is all shorts and short sleeve. I've been putting off buying any long sleeve shirts or sleepers in 12 month because I've been hoping that his 6 to 9 month stuff would last till it warmed up. Well now he litterly only has 2 sleepers that fit and just a few long sleeve shirts and onsies. Does anyone know of any stores having really good winter clearance sales right now? I guess I need to get him a couple of things to last till it gets warm and stays warm. It seems like my MIL is always finding stores with baby stuff on sale for a dollar or 2. That's even cheaper than buying stuff at a thrift store. But she hasn't found any sales like this recently because her foot has been hurting so she hasn't gotten out much. So, if y'all know of anything...please let me know!! Smiler

Jack is in the same boat!
All his 12 month stuff is winter stuff and it's getting too snug (my little peanut will be 16 months on Friday). And all the 18 month stuff I've been buying is summery. So I'm still cramming him into the 12 month stuff when it's cold (like today) because why buy 18 month stuff in long sleeves and sweaters? It's supposed to be spring!

Target usually has clearance stuff in the baby dept. You can find pants and shirts for like $3 to $6. Sometimes less. I might see you there! Wink

Sarah May-
At the end of last summer, I was in the same boat. I bought some onesie extenders which helped me get through the end of the summer/early fall without having to buy new clothes. It doesn't help with pants, but might help with long sleeve one pieces.

Have you tried any of the consignment shops downtown.....they usually have winter stuff on sale now to make room for all the summer clothes.

Kristi,
Thanks for the Target tip. I was on my way to Target to see what they had, but I decided to stop by K-mart on my way into town. They (the one on Skyland) had a bunch or racks of winter clothes on sale for $2.99. I noticed they had some 18 month stuff too. If you go you really have to dig to find anything. All the different sizes and the boy and girl clothes are all mixed up. I didn't buy a lot but I think I've got enough now to get by, so I ended up not going to Target.

MyMcDreamysMama,
I'd never even heard of onesie extenders. That's a great idea. Where do you buy them? I'm not sure if it would help us much now, though, because several of his onsies are also too tight in the arms...not just too short.

Smothers,
I just picked up a few things at K-mart. I'm going to try and make it on what we have, but if I end up needing more I'll definitely check the out. Thanks!
