Jack's mommy

I know a mom who swears by goat milk for her LO. She is a mom who thoroughly researches everything and is really into nutrition. And she thinks it is wonderful. FWIW. Hope your LO's excema is better! Poor thing.

I read somewhere that goat's milk is closer to breast milk than cow's mild is, but I have no idea where I saw that. I wasn't really looking for info on that when I came across it. If you end up using the Next Step formula let me know. I have a bunch of coupon checks I'm not going to use that you can have. Just send me a PM if you want them.

I just found this.... http://askdrsears.com/html/3/T032400.aspI would not use the goats milks formula without looking into the differences more but in my situation with my 14 mo old I think that I may try the goats milk.....I wonder what dr farmer would think? Do yall think that peds would be against the switch? I may also add the enfamil next step (soy) also just to make sure he is getting all that he needs.....yall agree?

I agree with you... I've seen recipes for goats milk formula and other homemade infant formulas online and I would do a lot of research before I replaced either breast milk or commercial infant formula with something made at home, for an infant under a year. But I think that it would be OK to use goats milk as an alternative to cows milk for a 14 month old. I have no idea what a ped would say about it though.
