My 6 month old gets the hiccups at least once a day. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do for him. Also he is teething, does any one have any ideas so that I can make him more comfortable.
I don't have any good suggestions for hiccups - for my 4 year old I have taught her the hold your breath trick, but yours is a little young for that. LOL.
But, what we did for teething last summer was to take one of those little mesh gerber feeding bags and put ice cubes in it. I'd give it to her to suck on and it not only kept her happy for a good 20 minutes, but it made her mouth feel better too. It's messy, but it's only water.
I would also give Amelia frozen waffles and pancakes - straight from the freezer. It helped her gums, and she would snack on them as they dethawed.

Where do you get the mesh gerber bags? I will try that. I also never thought of using frozen waffles. My LO would love that! He loves real food more than his baby food...lol. Also do you have any suggestions to get him to roll from his back to his stomach. He rolls up on his side, and then flops back. He also scoots on the floor on his back side. We are trying to get him to move on his belly...but he wants nothing to do with it...when we place him on his belly he spins around and around. LOL
I have seen them at target and toys r us here in town. They are like $5 or $6 I think. You can put any food in it really. They do get pretty messy with food, but they are great for ice!
As for rolling, he'll get it eventually. I'd just keep encouraging him - put something he really likes just out of his reach and see if he'll roll towards it. I was never able to make either of my girls do it - they just did it when they wanted to.
We need to see some pics!

For teething i use the fresh food feeders that Moozle was talking about too. I'll use frozen fruit or just ice. like she said it is messy but it works so great
I am still working on getting some pictures up...for some reason I am running into difficulties. When My hubby gets home, I will have him help me...lol Plus my lo is ready for his dinner and a mini nap.
I will try one of the fresh food feeders. That sounds like something Preston would like. Now if I could figure out how to get him to roll over....so he will scoot on his front side instead of the back side....if we can do that maybe his bald spot will disappear.
I don't know how well this technique will work on an infant/toddler, but I was wathching "Untold stories of the ER" one night and they had a lady in there who had had hiccups for 6 days. They tried everything, but nothing worked. Finally, they searched on the web and found a technique that worked. I have used it on my teenagers and it worked for them too.
Apply gentle pressure to the brow line... between the inner border and the center. It doesn't take long--30 secs or so.
