Gross! We go for the Smart Dogs or Tofurky ones over here (both meatless). Every once in a while we get the free range turkey ones from Shelton's, but that's it, definitely not the traditional ones. The nitrates would be enough for me to stay away, without all that other yucky stuff. I think my husband and son might sneak one a couple of times a year at a ball game, but that's just part of the bonding thing they do!

I think hot dogs are gross too. And it seems like every birthday party we have attended this year served them to the children. At the time Olivia wasn't old enough to eat them but it will be tough when she is older and wants to eat what everyone else is having.

I'll say it. I LOVE a good hotdog. not even a turkey one usually. A good nathans or sabrettes is my favorite. I know what they are made of and how bad they are. My motto is everything in moderation. Both of my girls love hotdogs and have been eating them - cut in teeny tiny pieces when they started -since before they turned one. They don't live off em, or even have them often, but if we're at a picnic, or a ball game, the day isn't complete without a hot dog in my mind. Yah yah yah (fingers in my ears)! Don't tell me bad stuff about hotdogs - my girls love them and so do I. I know there are gross foods out there and for some reason I love them all - sad but true. Oh well - it's summertime so break out those buns and ground up odd animal parts, with mustard please!
