At home we are (most days) pretty healthy snackers. The usual - fruit, crackers, veggies - and both kids enjoy this. Believe it or not both kids will choose yogurt over ice cream. The problem is my 3 year old goes to pre-school and then she wants what she sees the others eating. Some of the kids have similar things to her..... box of raisens, container of yogurt, banana etc But then some of the other kids have powdered sugar donuts washed down with fruit punch follwed by a chocolate bar (that is not an exageration). Any suggestion on how to keep her eating well but still feeling like she has "the good stuff" that some of the others have.

PS - for this and all my posts please excuse the spelling. I am a record breaking bad speller.

I think I would speak to the teacher and/or director of the preschool about the issue. It just makes sense that they wouldn't sanction candy bars and sugary drinks for snacks at school. Maybe they just need to be prodded to take a stand on it.
That aside, when my oldest starts that why-can't-I-have-what-the-other-kids-have stuff, I remind him that every family has different rules, and in our house we don't eat _________ (for example, lunchables, snack crackers full of trans fats, etc.) because those are not healthy choices. Then I also remind him that while he wishes some of our house rules were like those of some of his friends, he is also glad that others are what they are (i.e. no spanking, while some kids at school tell frequent spankings). I don't know if your daughter is old enough for that explanation - my son is in first grade.
