Do your kids eat salads?
I've never tried to get Jack to eat salad. But I've given him cherry tomatoes and he hated them. Here are some tips for getting your child to eat salad, courtesy of Parents Magazine. Give choices. Ranch or honey-mustard dressing? Cheddar cheese or mozzarella? Let kids make some of the decisions about what goes into the salad. Be creative. Goldfish crackers, cooked pasta, and berries make salads more kid-friendly -- and tastier. Time it right. Bring salad before the meal, when kids are at their hungriest and there's nothing else to eat. |
