Your baby's gender. Oh it's such a delicious little secret when you are newly pregnant, isn't it?
And there are plenty of tricks out there that claim to help you figure it all out. Here is a link to "the needle trick." Judging from the comments at the end, it looks like people are doing this even before they conceive as well. Has anyone done this? If so, was it right? I'll never forget the time my MIL looked into my eyeball to examine my veins. She was laughing and not serious, but she had seriously been told by someone that it works. I'll have to see if there's a link out there about that one....LOL What other tricks do you know about? Link    |

Kristi, I never heard of this before. But I read the directions, and I think I would need a tutorial! hah hah
The party store in Northport (by CiCi's pizza -- the party store has since moved) had a Chinese (?) prediction chart based on the age of the parents at the time of conception, the month of conception and I'm not sure what else. I looked up our daughter on that, and it was right -- but of course, it had a 50/50 chance of being right, and I didn't have anyone else with me to get their take on it ...! These old-world tricks fascinate me and I often wonder how much truth is in them. I mean, the "old wives tale" that if you have heartburn, the baby will be born with hair on its head turned out to be "unable to be disproven," when doctors at Johns Hopkins did a study just last year! |

ya know someone did the needle trick on me after jacob was born and it did do more kids, but I can't for the life of me remember what genders it said. lol
yea the heartburn thing doesnt' work. I had heartburn with all three of mine, the one that was the worst, had the least amount of hair, he actually didn't get any till he was a year old. Niki, wife to Thatcher, mommy to Jacob(5), Alex(3), and Alyssa(11mts) |

Ok my aunt done something similar to this but you put the needle in a pencil! anyways my husband laughs at me bc i really think this right! When I was preggo my aunt done it to me and it said I was going to have a girl 1st then 2 boys and it was right about a girl 1st.
Also my aunt said that they all done it in her subdivision and everyones was right, like with the ones that already had children and all!  |
