This made me laugh. This writer highlights the comments we all hear from people when we're pregnant.
Anyone else have some annoying-stranger-comments to add to this list?
I have one to add, but it's less a comment than an action. How many of you had strangers come up and just touch your belly? This drove me nuts. Do people think this is seriously OK?
"Are you sure you're not having twins or triplets" - yes, I was HUGE with my third - but I know I wasn't having any more than one.
"You do know what causes this right?" - this one was my favorite of all. We have three - 4, 2, and 7 months - not exactly our plan but I wouldn't change it for the world. My husband finally had enough and started answering people with "yes, we know what causes it, but when you find something you are good at you're supposed to keep doing it right?" The faces after that were priceless.

I was still a full-time reporter when I was preggers, and I actually felt kind of awkward. I mean, there I was trying to do these serious interviews, and I looked like a beach ball! And yes, everyone wanted to touch my belly. But it seems like they always asked first. And it made me feel kinda special, too.
But I always got stuff like - "Are you SURE you're only six months along?!," because I was huge too. With both my kids.

Once a girl that used to work where I did came back into visit us. She came up to me and put her ear to my stomach, without even asking. Then she exclaimed that she thought she had heard the baby kick or it's heartbeat. I said, "or maybe I just have gas!" You should have seen how fast she jumped back from me!!
Another coworker that was somewhat new to our office and had never seen me before I was pregnant once asked me if I'd always had big boobs. I did work in an all female office and we were on the topic of bras, but that question still surprised me.
I also had a few people ask if the pregnancy was planned. One was a complete stranger. Yes, it was planned...but what kind of a question is that to ask someone??

How 'bout this - - apparently my boobs were larger than my belly around 5 months along and a fellow male sales rep asked if I got a boob job. When I pressed my shirt around my belly and showed him he gasped and said congratulations as if it were a question.
