Services for new mothers at DCH:

Consultants

*Breast pump rentals are available to inpatients through the Women’s Center at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Appointments can be made for outpatient lactation services and infant weight checks by contacting the Lactation Consultant at 750-5186.

In addition to lactation services by Board Certified Lactation Consultants, through the Breast Care Center at Northport Medical Center, you can rent and/or purchase equipment for breastfeeding, including Medela breast pumps, nursing bras and other accessories.

Appointments for infant weight checks and lactation services can be made by calling 330-3031.

Breastfeeding Classes
Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes are available through the Breast Care Center at Northport Medical Center and the Women’s Center at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Breastfeeding Support Groups
Breastfeeding Support Groups are conducted through the Women’s Center at DCH Regional Medical Center (telephone: 750-5186) and the Women’s Pavilion at Northport Medical Center (telephone: 330-3031).

Also, at Northport DCH they have a baby weigh day on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of every month. It's free.
