I didn't realize it was common to drink 21 drinks on your 21st birthday. Yikes. That sounds horrible. I could never handle 21 drinks, even during my college years.
I hardly drank, even though I was in a country where I was legal. I was backpacking across Europe with two friends and we were staying in a bed and breakfast in Florence where the owners told us if we weren't in by 11 they'd lock us out. We went to a bar and had a drink. But I didn't want to spend my birthday sleeping on the street so I was in bed by 11. LOL.
I was home with a toddler, and I don't think I drank anything but Diet Coke that day! Sounds kinda sad, but I did more than my share of drinking before I was legal. Which really IS sad.

21 drinks... that can be lethal. I didn't have my first drink until I was well into my 20s. And, that was a glass of red wine at a work holiday party. It tasted awful to my virgin taste buds. LOL So, I don't know much about birthday drinking. Although in my time, it would have been 18 on the 18th! I think the drinking age changed shortly after my birthday. I had some younger friends that were not so happy that I was legal and they had to wait 2-3 more years.
Well I just had my 21st birthday 4 months ago and my in-laws took me to dinner and I had one drink. I could never drink 21 drinks! I like most of you did most of my drinking before I turned 21. When I was 15 and 16 I used to drink a lot but then I got married and had a child. By the time you actually turn 21 it's already out of your system
