I was online (I know, I should be working...lol) and came across this article -
http://www.foxnews.com/bloghealth/?bbPostId=CzCSFqwjxHi...Tq211WR1v6GHdP9Zdm1e It got me thinking about what song really motivates me, or gets me going. I have so many more than a couple, but some of my favorites are Brass Monkey (Beastie Boys), The Boxer (Simon & Garfunkel), and No Tomorrow (Orson). I know it's a weird mix - but it works for me. What song does it for you? You have to blast it when it comes on in the car - or you listen to it on the way out for a night on the town -or better yet you have the CD and pop it in when you really need it! |

HollyAnn - I love Ice Ice Baby too. It's actually my ringtone for my DH. He went through a phase in high school where I'm pretty sure he thought he was Vanilla Ice. Bleached blond hair and all....lol. Gotta love it!

I have so many, and they change from time to time too.
In terms of songs that I have to just blare and start singing them minute they come on, I have: Won't go home without you - Maroon 5 Runaway Train - Soul Asylum (I know, weird, but I LOVE this song) Time of your life - Green Day (pretty much any Green Day really) One Headlight - The wallflowers I have lots, but those are some that come to mind right away. |

Even Flow (Pearl Jam) The entire Immaculate Conception (Madonna) Say it Ain't So (Weezer) This One's for the Girls (Martina McBride) Dancin' Queen (of course, who doesn't love it?) (Abba) California Stars (Wilco and Billy Bragg) Do you See what I'm Seeing (Panic at the Disco) Interstate Love Song (Stone Temple Pilots) |

Ooooh, fun!
Love Brass Monkey and Ice Ice Baby too. How about Summertime by Will Smith? Great summer song. Still love it and crank it up. moozle, Runaway Train is one of my favs. I loved Soul Asylum for a long time and have many albums but that entire album is one of my favs of all time. MMDM, we have a lot of the same taste in music! I agree with a lot of those. But I must add Jack Johnson's Bubble Toes (and almost anything else by him). And Ben Harper's Diamonds on the Inside. And Dave Matthews' So Right. And G Love's Baby's Got Sauce And Boston Horns (my wedding band) Head in the History Oh, there's definitely more. I'll be coming back to this thread... ![]() ![]() |

Kristi-
We're huge fans of Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. My recent fav cd is Ben with the Blind Boys of AL. It's great!! Ben loves dancing to the Curious George cd. Jack is going to be in Atlanta Aug. 13. Here's the link... http://www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/tour/detail/2008/08/13 |

Oh, we would totally go if it wasn't a Wednesday. Darn. I have family in Atlanta who could watch Jack and we could also crash there. If only my DH didn't have a job! LOL.

Oh man! I wish I could go to that Jack Johnson show! I will be out of town, but I LOVE him. The first time I ever heard of him I checked to see if I could see one of his shows and he wasn't planning to leave Hawaii for a long while. Aww, I'm sad!
