Ok - I love the Duggars! Smiler
Hey - more power to them. I'd have to be committed - but they seem to have it all together.

I think that's just too much. Her body has to be wrecked after having that many children. And I don't think it's right to do that to the other children, I mean they have to "raise" the younger ones. I'm all for family values and teaching good morals and stuff but should the older ones be locked into the role of homemaker. I dunno. And I thought my one was a handful.

I just can't imagine having that many children! But if you can handle that many children (and afford it), go ahead... Personally, I think 2 or 3 will be enough for us.

I love my family

i'm not fond of it either. I thinks its ridiculous and extreme and that was when she was preggers with #15!

What are they gonna do when they run out of "J" names? huh?

I totally agree with Pookie & MLuvs. Kids need one- on-one attention from their parents. They need time alone, too. And room to be a kid and play.
They also need to feel they are special & unique human beings, not just another "J" in a long line of other Js. It's ridiculous & sad, IMO.

Is it true they have to schedule time alone with their parents? Like, on a calendar? Because that is really, really sad.

I remember first hearing about this family when they were on number 13 or 14. I just can't help but question their motives for having so many children. Seems like it's more about meeting some warped need of the parents and less about bringing children into a loving home where, like DM points out, they can grow into unique valuable individuals.

Here they are: the famous Duggar family.

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/24542747/

They all have names that begin with "J"

The boys are: Joshua, John-David, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Jeremiah, Jedidiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson

The girls are: Jana, Jill, Jessa, Joy-Anna, Johannah Faith, Jennifer Danielle,

What do you think they should name their next child?

I say:
For a boy, Jack (a fabulous name!)
For a girl, Jeannelle
