Jack's mommy |
So tonight we are actually going out! Woo hoo! Dinner and some drinks. I'm so excited. A friend and old neighbor is coming up to babysit. A big THANK YOU to her because I know she's on here sometimes. You're the best!
I just hope Jack goes to sleep for her. He's been pulling this weird stuff lately. He has always gone to bed relatively quickly and with little fuss. Now he's screaming bloody murder when I put him to bed. WTH? Separation anxiety? I hope he goes down peacefully tonight and mama can relax and enjoy a night out. Fingers crossed!! |

Thanks for asking!
Ugh. I can't drink anymore. LOL. And what's sad is I didn't even drink that much. But we had a great night. We went to Chuck's. And, you ladies can appreciate this. It felt SO GOOD to just sit and enjoy a glass of wine and talk to adults and not have to cut up food or pick a sippy cup off the floor or wipe little hands. Then we just went to Innisfree and met some friends. Then we brought them back to our house and played Rock Band. Yes, my husband came home with Rock Band for the XBox yesterday (not just the guitar, but also the drums and microphone. It's a regular, well, rock band in here now). And Jack loves it. He loves to play drums. Jack did great for the babysitter. He went to bed without much fuss. Yay, Jack! All in all, good to get out. But I'm hurting a little bit today. Ah well. |

I recommend a bloody Mary!
Sounds like you had a well earned good time! The Rock Band seems like a blast....sounds like something my DH would bring home for himself, but claim it was for the baby. Cheers! |

Awesome! Sounds like a great time!! Glad you got to get out!
You did alot better than us the last time we had a night out. We went to dinner and then basically just didn't know what to do with ourselves! We visited a couple of old haunts, catch 22 and inesfree, oh and i guess what used to boo radley's. I was still nursing and didn't drink. short story, we were home by 9:30!! lol Niki, wife to Thatcher, mommy to Jacob(5), Alex(3), and Alyssa(11mts) |

Glad you had a great time! It's always nice to be baby free for a few hours.
DH and I are going out Sat for our anniversary this weekend, and while this may be TMI (sorry if it is), I have to share it with someone. I am completely bummed that it will be my time of the month over my anniversary, my anniversary of all days. There should be some sort of rule against things like this. I have only been on one date with DH since January. 5 months and only one date. So sad. And this week I am taking off three days in between jobs, then I have Monday off too. So I was going to have a great week. EHHHH Wrong. Ruined by Aunt Flo. Sucks so bad. Didn't mean to change the subject Kristi, just had to vent a little. |

6. I can't believe it. It has gone by so quickly. But is still oh so great!
I will still have a great time! We are going to go and see Indiana Jones and have a dinner to ourselves. It seems I can't remember what it feels like to have a few alone hours with DH. I am as excited as a 16 year old going on a first date. LOL! |
