3 awesome things happened to me today I would like to share:
1. I did not win teacher of the year (but I was nominated and that counts for something) but I didn't care one little bit. Being that I teach every kid in the school (857) when my name was announced to come forward to take the stage, I got a ROAR of an ovation, kids standing and stomping and whistling. That was award enough for me. It took administration a little while to calm them back down. I can understand why being on stage is such a rush and ego boost!
2. My daughter had to write a short story about one of the most favorite gifts she has ever received and she said it was her sister. I just gleamed on that one.
3. I got a smile out of a severely diabled kid that won't smile for anyone! I made him my infamous monkey face and "farted" with my lips. Yeah - I'm not right, you can say it!!
