SarahMay - I did the same thing!!! I have one sitting in the bottom of my closet and I have no clue how to work it at all. How hard can it be to sew some pillows and simple curtains and even dress up smocky things for the girls, yet I can't!!! Just getting the bobber filled with thread and installed is a major set of steps. With you totally on this one!!!! 1/2 new years resolution - let's get schooled on this one!

Ugh.
No A/C again.
Sweating.
Calling an electrician this time.
More money down the drain.

Glad I'm heading out for a massage.
Thanks for the b-day gift, MIL and FIL!

You girls are too funny, but you are right it is complicated. My MIL was nice enough to teach me the basics, the rest was trial and error. It's a hobby for me. My hubby works alot so i needed something to help keep me busy.

Kristi- Ohhh no about the A/C, i hope someone is able to get out there ASAP. Have fun at your massage, that sounds wonderful.

Olivia is worn out from this mornings birthday party and is sleeping. She had so much fun. It was at Playhouse Academy in Northport. I was amazed at her running around and playing with all the other children. She was jumping in the ball pit and in the bounce house just like all the big kids.

It made me realize that I definetely have to get her involved in some activities this fall. I keep debating between Movin and Groovin at CHOM or Storytime at the Tuscaloosa Libary. I figured that between our TuscMoms activities, Church and one of the other activites she would get the interaction she needs.

That party sounds like fun!
Movin and Groovin is really fun. And story time is great. So you can't go wrong.
We are taking Kindermusik this fall. Jack is going to love it. He was in it last fall but he was soooo small he really didn't get to participate much.
Classes start the last week of August.

Well, we have A/C again. Woo hoo!
And it's been a productive day. I planted flowers in my backyard and picked up the book club book and cleaned my rugs. Oh and the massage was fantastic. Isn't that the best feeling, right after a full-body massage? Best gift ever.
My DH is cooking ribs and they smell so good.
And tonight we're heading out to the movies. Yay!

Is the story time at the library on summer break right now? When does it start back up? I liked that, but I think I only took Will to it once, since they started back up from summer break. I was taking him to baby talk at UA and we had some other stuff going on so I thought he was getting enough interaction. Baby talk was an 8-week thing and I'm not sure when it starts up again. So, right now I don't really have anything to take Will to, other than the TuscMoms baby socials, lunches, etc.

UGHH!!!
I'm pretty sure my mom was trying to get back at me this morning for all the times that I woke her up early.
My phone rings at 7:30 this morning - which on weekdays would be no big deal - and miraculously all the people under 4' in my house were still asleep. I was REALLY enjoying my sleeping in time!! Here I am thinking someone is bleeding and at the hospital - but alas, no - she just wanted to tell me to turn the tv on to a certain station.....REALLY!!

Motherhood trains you to think 5 steps down the road. Great for being prepared with your little ones, bad for overthinking every move.

I am about to start working again (new school year) and staff and logistics have changed at my school due to an addition that was built over the summer. I thought 5 steps down the road so that I would look awesome on paper for being a very active teacher within my school and now some of the rules have changed and duty assignments, so I realize that I won't have a moment to myself all day long. Can you say overextend!!! By the time this school year ends, I'll look great on paper and be 6 feet under! sigh - - heartburn!!

It had been awhile since I have posted anything, I have been trying to catch up! This topic has gotten very long so I figure I need to add to it.

Getting new floors down is a PAIN!! My DH and I figured we would save some $ and pull up the old floors before they came and that was a huge mistake, it was easy but we didnt realize how much work we had to do. We finally got it all pulled up and containing 2 little ones in one room for a week while they put down the new flooring was VERY difficult. Now they finally finished the job (with problem after problem and a few million trip to lowes) and we have to still put down the shoe mold, most of my furniture is STILL in my garage and my life seems so messed up because of it (I am a neat freak and this is driving me nuts) Hopefully we will get it done soon and my house will be in order once again! Now school is fixing to start and I dont know how I am going to get up in time to get him to school on time and I refuse to let him ride the bus...........uggg! I am just so worn out, on top of my normal struggles as a mom and being tired from kids and working a full time job now I have my house in a mess, we got TONS of work to do to it ourselves (with no time to actually do it) and I cant see the end of it all.....I just want my life back to normal again!!! We should have taken our vacation a week after the floors instead of the week before, I need another trip to the beach now from all of this stress!!

HollyAnn, aw man. I hope you can feel more settled soon. But I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end!

Grndhogmom - always the multi-tasker, eh? You are an excellent teacher and will handle it all just fine. But I know what you mean. I'm notorious for biting off more than I can chew but then somehow chewing it. LOL

So I forgot to tell you guys this little story from last night. Jack is soundly sleeping in his room for hours and the monitor is on. All of a sudden one of his toys goes haywire and it's so loud! I thought for sure he'd wake up. I sprint into his room and tip toe in (why tip toe when a toy is going off? why do we do nonsensical things like that? LOL) and grab it. And he didn't even move. I can't believe he slept through it. Especially since sometimes I'll simply open his door and look in at him and he wakes up.

Kristi- Is your A/C fixed yet? I hope you enjoyed your spa day and had fun saturday night on your date. DH and I are planning a day next month when I get a spa day and then we are going on a date. I can't wait. Nothing is better than getting pampered all day and then going out. And tooo funny about the toy, hasn't that happened before with one of his toys????

Aprilz- I added you on myspace today Smiler

If anyone else wants my myspace info just PM me.

Grndhogmom- I am sorry you are feeling stressed. Hopefully you'll figure out a way to fit it all in and keep your sanity Smiler I love the bus in your siggy by the way, it makes me smile.

Hollyann- Ohhh i know that has to be a pain, but just keep remembering all the money you are saving AND how pretty your new floors will be.
