Well....I waited in line for an hour and a half with a toddler this morning. But, it was worth it! My husband met me there when we were about half way through the line. Funny, my technological skills are pretty basic, so I never thought to use the TV feature on my phone. Honestly, I didn't even know how to use it. So, when Ben started getting ansy, my DH just loaded up Sesame Street from the PBS channel and we entertained a few of the kids waiting in line with their parents. (Moozle, it was after your crew left). I am so easily impressed by technology.
BTW....Starbucks is giving out free coffee to voters. Yum yum.
So...it only took me 20 minutes to vote first thing this morning. I vote at Flatwoods Elementary in Northport. No Starbucks there...but that's ok with me since I don't drink coffee. I was surprised there was not a longer line, though most of my community probably works and will go at lunch or after work. I don't want to know how long the lines will be after 5 today.
And I went alone. Had already dropped Ronald at daycare.

We always take our kids with us to vote, and we're going in a few minutes. I'm hoping the lines won't be too long. MMDM, an hour and a half?? I hope we don't have to wait that long! And I feel like a dork, but I had no idea there was such a thing as tv on the phone! That sounds like a great feature for times like today. I don't drink coffee either, Ronaldsmom, but isn't Krispy Kreme giving out a free donut too for anyone who voted?
Kristi - I have a feeling you'll be standing in line anyway - so you may want to take a snack...lol. It took DH and I an hour and 45 minutes to make it through the line and vote this morning - and we vote at the same location that you do. A couple of others have voted since then and they said it took them an hour and a half.
Be prepared!

60 minutes. Not too too bad. Jack was a trooper. He had snacks. He had toys. He was strapped down to a stroller. All was good. When I left at 5 o'clock, the line was way worse. All the way around the building and across the parking lot.
MMDM - tv on your phone?? Wow. I had no idea! I wish we had still been there for that. It was really great to see you, even if I couldn't talk much because of my wild children.
Took us close to an hour and a half also. The kids were nuts, but we were determined that they would go and be part of the process. I let Amelia help me fill in the bubbles and then stick the ballot in the box, and DH did the same with Anabelle. It was exciting.
I'm so jealous of those of you who had no wait though.
Oh -and the target starbucks was giving free coffee too. I got mine!

I just have to say that I am SO proud of our country today.
And I am so proud of Massachusetts citizens for FINALLY voting to ban greyhound racing - that one's been a long time coming and my Bitsy is smiling down from heaven today.
