So we went out last night to see G.Love at the Jupiter and it was a great show. I like that venue. I'll have to keep my eye open for who else comes there. Tristan Prettyman opened up and she was so good I had to buy her CD. We got home close to 1. And we were talking about how our reliable alarm clock (Jack) would be getting us up at 6:30 sharp. And of course he did! No sleeping in and recovering from a night out anymore. LOL

I hear you! I feel soooo old - late nights are HARD these days.

I'm glad you got a night out though! It's so nice once and a while, isn't it?

On a side note, my DH and I went to see Dexateens at Jupiter a few months ago. They were "scheduled" for 9. Now, I do know that their are openers, etc., but it was so ridiculous. They had two bands open for them, and they did not take the stage til 1 am. I might be old, but 1am is a bit late for a band to first come on, no???

It was so embarassing. During one of the opening acts, at around 11:30 or midnight, my DH actually had to nudge me b/c I was starting to doze. With all that noise. LOL.

I would have been the same way. Man, 1 am for a band to START? That's crazy.
G.Love went on at about 10 I think. Not too bad.
And yes it was great to be out! Now that you're a mom don't you just relish those nights? They are so rare. LOL

No concert, but I had a great night last night due to a PTA meeting. Since I am on staff, I had to be at our schools PTA meeting last night from 6 till 8pm. I got my mom to pick up my girls and then me and our music teacher went to eat dinner together before the meeting. It was so nice. I got a hot meal, didn't have to cut up any meat or bolt to the bathroom just as my food arrived. I finished all my food and sentences. I can't believe life used to be this way all the time - it's foreign to me now that I was ever this care free in life. I wouldn't change it for the world, but it seems like a lifetime ago that all meals went this smooth.
