Thanks everyone for all the sweet compliments on my new siggy pic. We were blessed to be able to have a photo session with a wonderful photographer (BIL's best friends wife) while we were visiting BIL/SIL in Dallas, Texas. She is an amazing photographer and truly captured everything I love about our family at this time. The pictures were taken at the Dallas Arborteum. It is such a beautiful place. Here is a slideshow of some of my favorite shots from the session. http://s58.photobucket.com/pbwidget.swf?pbwurl=http://w.../JBower/d461c07c.pbw
Beautiful! She is very talented. Of course she had an adorable subject to work with, which helped. I love the lighting. And did you make her dress? It's so pretty.
We are getting professional shots taken Wednesday and I just finished rummaging through Jack's closet to find an outfit. I hope it goes well!
We are getting pictures made Wednesday, too! Where are you going? We are going to Portrait Inovations at 9:00. We are about a month late on the 18 month pictures
Haha, I guess we are all getting our professional pictures done - we just had Lily's 12 month pictures (as well as some oh her with Daddy and myself) on Saturday at Portrait Innovations. It was the first time we had been there and I was impressed!!! The last place we went totally ripped us off.
Well, I was absolutely not impressed with Portrait Innovations today. They were rude and did not get any good pictures of Alec. So at the end when you have to choose the pictures, I just picked one(because seriously there was not many to choose from) and said I wanted the special for 9.95. After that the girl was very pushy about getting more and when I insisted she was soooo snappy and rude! So anyway, I called and complained to the corporate office. I don't know if it will do any good, but I don't think they should advertise the special if the employees are going to treat you like crap when you get it!
mom2alec, sorry to hear about your bad experience! Did you say it was a girl who took the pictures and everything? When we went it was a guy. Actually there were 2 guys at first and they were soo nice and did everything in their power to get Lily to smile and they got some really cute pictures. Maybe you just got a different person. I had heard good things and bad things about Portrait Innovations so was hesitant to go there but we had a very good experience this past Saturday!
Yes, it was a girl. And actually I have been there before, twice, and really liked them. I know it was just that one girl, but one bad experience can just give you a bad taste in your mouth, kwim?
Hmmm. We had a pretty good experience at PI. I'd go there again. In fact, we're planning on going there this fall for his 2 yr. shots. I just wasn't happy with Jack's 1 yr. pic. He was under the weather that day and not smiling. Sorry you had a bad experience mom2alec!
We are actually in NY and went to a Sears here in the mall. It was OK. We got a pretty good shot. But the $9.99 special is a joke. After all the sitting fees and other fees, I wound up spending $50. Oh well. It's a rare shot of Jack and his three cousins so I don't mind. But Jack would not smile! My smiley happy baby did not like being put on the spot this morning. Big Sigh. Picture day = stress. LOL
