So I love NCAA men's basketball and look forward to March Madness all season (even this year when the Alabama team has delivered a disappointing performance). But tonight we were watching the Alabama/Mississippi State 2nd round game of the SEC Tournament, it had just gone into OT a couple of minutes before...and a tornado hit the Georgia Dome where they were playing. It was crazy. After 63 minutes, they resumed play, and we lost by 2 points in the end. Frowner But it was wild to watch unfold on t.v.

I was watching last night. It was incredibly lucky that more people weren't injured in the Dome. Reports are that huge bolts were falling from the ceiling after they were ripped out by the force of the winds.

I can't believe that they captured the sound and pictures of all that went on. It was wild to see the scoreboard and scaffolding moving that much.

And today they are playing three games at Georgia Tech's arena. No tickets - only credentialed people to be there. What a difference that can make to the atmosphere. If Kentucky or Georgia win the tournament (their game was postponed last night), they will have to play 3 games in about 24 hours.
Go CATS!

Yes, GA and KY are playing a close one now, and one of them will have to play Miss. State later today. Even that is a lot, not to mention the possibility of playing again tomorrow at noon for the championship. Ms. Clavel, UK just hit a 3-pointer and got on top, with 2+ minutes to go!

That's all that's been on my TV lately - BASKETBALL.
Blech.
I like a lot of sports. But basketball is not one of them.

There is only one time of the year that I watch basketball - and that is march madness. I don't follow during the season, but DH and I LOVE doing our brackets and competing against each other.

It's so much fun, and if it's going to monopolize my tv anyway, I might as well have a stake in it, right?

I suggest trying it next year for those of you who don't like the game, but your Dh's watch it. It seriously makes it much more enjoyable!
