Any interest in planning a family picnic next month? With hubbies and kids?

Maybe we can all bring something to eat - make it a pot luck kind of thing. Pick a park. Bring bocce and other outdoor games. Let the kids play together.

Let me know who is interested and if we have enough interest we can start planning it.

Ohhhh.....that sounds like it could be fun!

DH has to work on some Saturdays, but even if he can't make it I would love to do it.

I know that the Baby Social is at Shelby Park - but that may be a fun place for this too.

That does sound fun! We have a bocce set we could bring. Does anyone (or their DH) play disk golf?

Kristi- Sounds like soooo much, We would definetely love to come.
Maybe an evening picnic (like 4:00 or later) so all the Dad's that work on Saturdays could make it. And it wouldn't be as hot Smiler

Yeah, I agree about waiting till later in the day... If that works for everyone else. It's too hot out in the middle of the day.

And hey - if we could find somewhere that has an electrical hook-up we have a Fisher Price bounce house that we could bring - it inflates in minutes and is portable. The best thing Santa ever brought!

Anyone else interested in this?
Do we have enough people to plan it, do you think? What's your feel, ladies?
And when should it be?
A Saturday or Sunday?
I'm thinking either the weekend of Aug. 16 or 23 if we decide to do it.
Preference?

It sounds like a great idea and a ton of fun, but both of those weekends are bad for us. If it ends up being pushed back to Aug. 30 (or even into September, but watch out for football!) we can probably make it. Such a busy, crazy, summer we have had! We keep missing all the fun!

I can do either.

The 23rd works slightly better for me, but I'll make it to either one.

The weekend of the 23rd would be best for me. If we have the MNO on the 15th that would just be too much for one weekend. Saturday or Sunday would work for us.

Frowner We will be at the beach on the 23rd so we couldn't attend. Is the date for sure set for the 23rd? We would love to come my DH is always wanting to be involved and go to things. Maybe if the date isn't set we can come.

My husband is working midnights that weekend (Goodrich) so, he will be sleeping if it is on the 23rd. The 30th would be better for us because I would really love for him to come.

Hey Ladies
I just saw the post. I love the idea! Aug 30 works best for us because we will be in Ohio the weekend of Aug 22-23. If we can't come this time, hopefully we can make it for another picnic in the future.
