Who is interested in walking the Mommy Track on Friday Feb. 1 in the a.m.?

Sorry I have not been able to get to this website much lately. It seems as if every time I get on the comp. my 10 mo old and 4 yr old both want to het in my lap and then they start fussing at each other. Anyway, I would LOVE to meet up soon! My son (4 yr old) attends NB Day school on Tues and Thurs like Nina P's. But I will work anything out. I too REALLY need the exercise and was not aware of the thing at Phelps. I would LOVE to go. Cant tell from the forum if Wed, 23 is a definite or not. Could someone let me know? I just remember my sitter comes on Wed and Fri but not until 10:30 am but I could still walk on Wed. Just let me know thanks!!!!!!---allison

How did I not notice that the new tenative date for walking is 2/1? Probably b/c I had two small children in my lap vying for my attention like two small tigers Anyway, I am on for meeting at the Phelps center and walking on Feb 1st. Hope to you there. ---allison

P.S. I noticed that my spelling/grammer is off in my last post. I do know how to spell and use correct grammer. It just difficult w/ two tigers in my lap.

I am in! My 4 yr old w/ be with me also. Does he have to be in a stroller as well? He can make himself fit into the bottom basket if necessary (he actually likes to do this--have no idea why)--allison

I'm not sure if the center frowns on children not in strollers or what. I've never been there. I'd say just wing it and he can always, like you said, fit into the bottom and ride.

The Mommy Track this morning was lots of fun! It's so nice to get out and get some exercise in the winter. And the babies seemed to love it too. They were babbling to each other and reaching for each other. It was really cute. Great conversation, nice activity center, great view of the water from the track...I would recommend it!
Let's try to plan another.

I would like to apologize for not being at the Phelps Cntr. this past Fri. Being a proud native Tuscaloosan I tend to think that I know where everything in Tuscaloosa is located. WRONG!!! I got up this past Fri scrambled to get my kids ready, left the house at 9:35 am, thinking I had plenty of time to get to the Phelps Cntr, which I thought was located near the VA. Got there within 5 mins (as we live close by) and discovered the center is the MCABEE CENTER! UGH!!!! By the time I phoned my mom to ask her where it was (she wasnt initially sure either) it was 9:50 and my babysitter was to arrive at 10:30. SOOOOOOOOO, thus my absence. My son was seriously very disappointed so we made a quick trip to Target and he picked out a prize for himself. I would still like to get together with those moms that can during the week. I am totally embarassed by not really knowing where the Phelps Center is. You would think having lived in Tuscaloosa (county and city) my entire life (39 years and counting) that I would know where everything else. Oh well, I believe I have beaten the dead horse enough. I will make eery attempt to be a the get together in Feb. The only bad days for me are Feb 18th as kids are getting their flu shots.---allison
