Hi Gals, Hey thanks, Kristi, for the post. Angie and I met on Sunday and came up with some good ideas for the cooking club. There are still many more details to work out, but these will come together once we know who is planning on being a part of the cooking club. We will try to meet once every other month at someone's home. Significant others are invited to participate. We might be able to arrange childcare at the host's house for members' children. Each month, there will be a different theme. The host will provide the main dish and the other members will be responsible for bringing a compatible side dish. Right now, we are trying to pick a Saturday in September, preferably early evening. Something to consider are the UA football games in town are on 9/6 and 9/13. The theme for the first meal is Italian. Reply to this thread if you will join us in the cooking and fun and when you can meet in September (6, 13, 20,27). Then we will decide on the dinner details, childcare (as needed), etc.

I'm in for the 20th or 27th. BuckeyeGal had some great recipes and ideas for beginning a cooking club. Here is an interesting question she found on an online guide....What is the one ingredient you can't cook without?
I seem to use olive oil in or on just about everything I cook...except desserts, of course.
