Shelby Park has bathrooms and I believe picnic tables. Not sure about outlets. Also I didn't see any grills there.
Anyone know?

Lynnleesmommy, we're still trying to figure out the place. Glad you can come!

What about the UCP park? Is there anything over there that would work? I've never been there so I'm not sure.

Shelby Park or UCP park would be lots of fun. I have enjoyed going to both

I think i remember seeing some picnic tables to the left of the bathrooms at Shelby Park.

There are tables and a few chairs under the pavillion at UCP park but I can't remember about grills. One thing I do remember though was that they either didn't have bathrooms or they were locked the day we were there. It is a great playground though, I loved that it was completely fenced in and they had lots of things for smaller children.

Also, Everyone could always bring chairs for thier family to sit in (we would only need one since one of us will be running after olivia the entire time, lol).

Have we picked out a time of day yet?

I would probably contact someone at Tuscaloosa PARA to find out about the outlets and if you can set stuff up.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a grill at UCP, but if they don't have a bathroom or we're not sure if it will be unlocked I think we should pick somewhere else.

Shelby is having some Girl Scouts event from 10 to 2 that day. But we're thinking 4 so that should be OK.
If there are no grills perhaps we can all chip in and get footlong subs or something like that? Make it real easy. And then some snacks and chips and a cooler full of drinks.

The kids will have fun running through the water there. I can call PARA and ask about outlets for GG's bounce house.
What do you all think?

Sounds good to me. If there are grills, are we bringing our own meats or something?

That sounds good. I know it is going to be alot of fun.
And yes Kristi I agree on keeping it easy. If everyone brings thier own meat and drinks and something to share we should have plenty.

Am I the only one that inviting a Grandparent? I know Kristi mentioned inviting Grandparents or whoever too.
I'm still trying to talk my DH into going... I don't know what he will decide but I'm working on it.

My DH claims that at stuff like this all the women will be talking to each other and the guys just sit there and stare at each other...lol But, he's coming and I think it will be fun for the guys too. Maybe they'll all make new friends too. And next thing we know they'll be planning "dad's nights out!"

Lol SarahMay! DH said the same thing. He has a slight advantage though because he has been around moozle's husband and RonaldsMom's husband. You would think it would be the mom's who would be nervous being around each other - not the macho men....lol.
