The 30th should be fine - but I will point out that UA plays Clemson in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome that weekend. The game is at 7:00 that night so if we do decide that weekend - we might want to make it a 3:00 afternoon.

I know there have to be other football crazies out there too. And the really sad thing is that it's more me wanting to be home than DH...lol.

That weekend (31st) doesn't work for me because it is my 5 year wedding anniversary and we will likely be away.
I guess we could take it into September but with football that may be hard.

What about doing it earlier? Like the 9th or 10th of August? Or is that too soon for everyone?

I guess the 16th is probably out, since it looks like the MNO will probably be that night. Either the 23rd or the 30th is equally Ok with us, whichever is best for the most people. We hardly ever plan anything that far in advance!

We can't make it either day, my DH works 11a.m.- 11p.m. on the 30th. Any other ladies coming w/out their DH's? I don't think I would feel right at a "family" picnic without him. Might feel out of place and slightly awkward. I don't know maybe its just me being shy.

I would love to come and have fun with everyone. Im pregnant with my first so I don't have anyone for the kids to play with and I would love to meet some other moms...but Im younger (20)....I love moms tho LOL

I would love to come but I I think I would also feel akward going without my DH if everyone else is going to have their DH there. My DH would feel really uncomfortable since he can't speak English very well.

KatieEm, my anniversary is the 31st. How many years have you been married again? It's our 5th. Maybe we got married the same weekend!

That weekend is Labor Day weekend so I figured that wouldn't be a good weekend to do it anyway.

And I'm thinking the 16th is out because it's our MNO.

PLEASE no one feel weird. Think of it as one big gathering. I call it a family picnic because I want moms to know that hubbies, grandparents, etc. are welcome. We'll all be playing games and running around with the kids and so I don't think it will feel awkward at all.

So who all can make it on the 23rd?
Let's see if we have enough to get a good group together on that day. Or the 24th if people prefer.

We can't make it on the 23rd, we will be out of town.

It depends on what time of day, if it is an afternoon thing then we can make it. My husband will be working midnights that day and won't get off until 11am.

Kristi- August 23rd or 24th would work fine me. And I am glad you mentioned grandparents because my current plan was if DH couldn't make it to invite my MIL to come along with us. I hope we can come up with a date, I think this would alot of fun

I don't see why we wouldn't be able to make it. The 23rd might work a little better for us though.
