How about the gazebo? So who is in, exactly? And, yes, that's not a bad idea...I can send direct messages to the ladies who expressed interest. Any ladies who are on today and want to meet up in the morning, post here and let us know! All are welcome! We're meeting a 9:30 am tomorrow Dec. 8 at the gazebo on the RiverWalk! Hope to see you there!

The gazebo is next to the boat "Bama Belle" right? I have not been down that way in a while. April-mommy to Ronald-11 months old

Hmmm. Not sure. But I believe it's the second entrance when you are heading toward the university. I hope that's the only gazebo and I'm not confusing anyone! Big gazebo, you can see it from the road, right on the water...

There are two gazebos. One on Jack Warner Parkway near the University, and one off Jack Warner near Hwy 69 close to downtown Tuscaloosa. I think you mean the big one by the University, right? April-mommy to Ronald-11 months old

Yes, I mean the big one near the university. There are lots of ramps around it. There are picnic tables. It's like a pavilion...

Hello Ladies!
I was following this discussion and wanted to meet everyone so much! But unfortunately tomorrow I won't be able to come - I am having a web meeting with my mom at 10 am (she is overseas). I hope you all will have a good time tomorrow and will meet next weekend and maybe a little later (I have a 4.5 month daughter and she wakes up at 9:30) - just look how time will work out for you all.
Cheers. Anna

I hope you ladies had a great time this morning and I'm so sorry I couldn't be there. I woke up feeling yucky and so went to the doc and found out I have strep throat. Ick. I pray Jack doesn't get it. I've been trying to stay away from him today and let his daddy take care of him. Looking forward to the next meet up!

I had a wonderful time! We were sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. Hope you get well quickly. If Jack is still Bf, he is much less likely to get sick. I caught a stomach virus when Ronald was only 6 weeks old( a particularly nasty one in which I ended up in the hospital). Everyone in my entire family caught it as well. I mean all of us, I think a total of 20 people that it got spread to. But my son thankfully did not get sick, even though my hubby and I were sick at the same time and were the ones having to care for him. The only reason I know of he could have resisted getting sick was because I was Bf. We missed you there Kristi. The walk along the river was wonderful though. I enjoyed meeting and talking with you both. I wish it hadn't been so muggy outside though. We will definetly have to meet up again soon. Maybe right after the 1st of the year (after Christmas and New Year's celebrations are done). Hope you all had a great rest of your weekend. BTW... Angie, did you have a good time watching Christmas on the River with Ben? April-mommy to Ronald-11 months old

April, Yes, it was fun...Ben loved the lights. How was the Pompei exhibit? Hope you enjoyed your date night!! I enjoyed the walk, too. I'd like to make it a regular weekly thing after the holidays.

The exhibit was great! I wouldn't suggest going at 3:00 or 4:00 if you have a husband who likes to read every word, because we were the last to be done, and had 6 0r 7 security guards following us everywhere. It was kind of fun though. Kind of made us feel important. LOL! But everything else was wonderful. We ate at Landry's seafood, and that was soooo good! Haven't had good seafood in a while. I had the broiled platter. I brought half of it home (cause there was so much), but it was very good. We had such a good time. I had almost forgotten how wonderful it was to spend time alone with my husband. Makes me remember the days when it was just us...... I wouldn't go back though. I am tooo in love with my LO. Anybody want to set a date to meet up later this month? I can't do anything for the next couple of weeks because of birthday parties and having to make birthday cakes for nieces and nephews. But I want to meet up as soon as everyone is available. What do you all think? April-mommy to Ronald-1 YEAR OLD!!
