Preston is just now starting to crawl...so he will not be going in the water. What time are we meeting?

I'm going to try my best to be there and Lily isn't walking yet (just recently started to take first steps) so she is still crawling. Yeah I also want to make sure I know where the park is. I was also wondering if it's the one near Central? I've never been to that park and I haven't been down that way in a long time so I'm not sure exactly where it is.

Well, I haven't had to work on a friday in a year and a half, however I do have to work this Friday. So Alec and I will not be there this time. I am really sad because it sounds like there will be some new people to meet. Maybe next time, though.

April- I hate that you and Alec won't be able to make it. Olivia had so much fun playing with him.

For those that were asking about the details. I think we decided on Friday July 18th at 10:00 at Shelby Park (located on 15th stree across the street from Central).

I am going to bring brownies, so I hope we have some chocolate lovers

Kristi- What will we need to bring for setting up? Like is there an area with tables and chairs or will we need to bring blankets or chairs to sit on.

Well guys, just realized most all of you have young kids! Mine are 3, 7, & 8. I've never been to Shelby either. I've heard it is quite fun.

AuntJoJo, there are plenty of moms on here with kids older than babies. This thread is just about planning a baby social so ours are kinda on the young side.
If you'd like to plan a social with kids who are older, feel free! I am happy to start a thread for the planning process.

Also, I think you asked about water shoes, right? The Children's Place has some great ones. Jack lost one of his. Grrr.

There is built-in seating in front of the fountain and lots of grass around. There are restrooms right there as well.

Would anyone mind if my DH brought Ben to the park Friday?? I have to return to FL to make closure on some work there, so it will just be the boys for a few days. I am trying to line up some things for them to do. I know it is also social time for moms, so I understand if you would prefer no dads. However, I know Ben would have a blast.

I don't mind at all. I love chatting with your DH when he brings Ben to the library. He's always so friendly. And I'm sure Ben would have a blast running through the water with all the kids.
