What about August 8th or August 15th? I believe that the MNO is scheduled for the 16th though so I don't know whether that would be an issue for some people.
I'm not the person to suggest a location because I don't get out that much so am kind of clueless lol. I thought Shelby Park was a nice meeting place but we might want to meet somewhere different next time. Didn't someone mention a park in Northport?
Mama2Princesa- I like the suggestion of August 8th since We have the MNO on the 16th and the Family Picnic on the 23rd.
As for locations.... I enjoyed meeting at Shelby Park, i liked sitting in the shaded area and the splash fountain was nice. It was a little hard with a toddler since it was such an open area and she just wanted to run. I haven't been to alot of the parks in Tuscaloosa but we have been to the UCP park on Rice Mine Road and the one on 69 by the bridge going from Northport to Tuscaloosa. They were both really nice parks.
Ashley- I think if someone wants to host it at thier home they are welcome to. The first meeting was at Kristi's house and we had a great time. I would LOVE to have everyone over to my house, but I live way out in the middle of no where.
I would like to host a baby social at our house. My only concern is that the only activities we really have is for babies. I thought about getting a baby pool that the LO's could splash around in but besides that I have fallen short of Ideas.
Since I have never attended a baby social what are the ages of the children that usually attend?
Also, I was wondering if any of you Mom's would be interested in doing a lunch meet up maybe once a month or would that be too much with the MNO and everything?

Ashley- Most of the children are under age 2. At our last meet up Katiem's little girl Katie was the oldest child and she was 3. I wouldn't worry about toys, each toddler mom can bring a toy and everyone can share. In the past we just sit around and chat and let the LO's play for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The lunch meet up sounds like a fun idea, did you mean with or without babies? I dont have a babysitter during the day, but Olivia loves going out for lunch so if you meant babies too I'd be interested. Open a new thread in the Meet up section describing what you had in mind so we can start planning
Because I am not that good on this site I will ATTEMPT to do that. I was thinking with babies would be fun. We don't have a sitter really and I like to involve our LO as much as possible.

I like August 8th for the baby social too. What does everyone else think?
Ashley, I think that is a good idea but my only issue is if we are going out to a restaurant to lunch my LO will not sit in a highchair htere most of the times. She has to be sitting right beside me or in my lap to be happy which makes it a little difficult to eat especially with her grabbing at everything. She has good days and bad days but I just didn't know if that might be a little overwhelming with so many babies at once. Or is mine the only one that doesn't appreciate being confined to a chair/table? hehe.
Aug 8 th would be good for me. As for location I don't know about the park next to the bridge. My 3 yrs old is a little explorer. I am afraid for her safety there.
Unfortunately Aug. 8 does not work for me. I'll be in NY. But have fun ladies!! I'll catch the next one. Can someone please take some pictures and upload them to the site? Anyone want to volunteer? KatieEm? LivisMom? I know you ladies usually have your cameras on you...
