Interesting that an "outbreak" of 12 cases makes the NYTimes. There was an outbreak of 27 chickenpox cases at one school here in Tuscaloosa over the holidays (and that is not counting non school-age siblings also affected), and it didn't even make the T-news!
The support for people ill with these diseases has improved as modern medicine advances, and I notice the article didn't list any deaths associated with recent outbreaks of these diseases routinely vaccinated against.
