Did anyone else see on ABC 33/40 news at 10:00 where a 11mon. old little girl got chocked on a band-aid. Her 6yr. old brother was sitting in the back seat of the car with her and he warned his mom that his sister could not beath and that she was starting to turn blue! Mom pulled her car over and did CPR on the little girl and mom said that she could see the snoopy band-aid in her little girls mouth. The little girl had just come from the doctors office from getting her vacinations. Very scary!
Yikes. This reminds me of a scary situation I had bringing Jack home from the doc after vaccinations one time when he was real little. The nurse left that big cotton ball on his arm with the band-aid over it. I was wary of it and almost pulled it off before we got in the car. But I didn't. I figured I'd pull it off when I got home (I lived 5 minutes from the doc). Well, on the way home I thought Jack was too quiet so I reached back (he was rear-facing so I couldn't see him) and put my finger in his mouth and - he had slurped that huge cotton ball off his arm and it was in his mouth. Eeeek! I pulled over and quickly fished it out. But I was pretty freaked out by it. One of my first lessons in "trust your mommy instincts!"
